At Rebecca Vallance we design pieces to be treasured for a lifetime. Our Garment Care Guide outlines how to care for your pieces, to enable their longevity, and ensure they have the lowest environmental impact possible. To honour the value of each garment, and our planet, we need to think beyond the first wear. By caring for your Rebecca Vallance pieces responsibly, you will not only be able to enjoy your pieces for longer, but you will also be helping to reduce the impact on the environment
COLD WASH
You can extend the life of your garments by washing them at a lower temperature. Washing at 30C rather than 40C also reduces energy consumption which is better for the environment.
HANG DRY
Hanging your garments up to dry is better for the longevity of your garment as it reduces degradation of the fibres as well as being better for the environment.
REDUCE IRONING
Iron when only really necessary. Minor creases can be avoided by hanging your garment in the bathroom while showering. The steam will naturally remove creases.
SELECTIVE DRY CLEANING
Only dry clean when necessary. When dry cleaning garments, visit an eco or green dry cleaner that does not use harmful chemicals.
