Rebecca Vallance x Qantas - International Women’s Day

Women Who Move the World Forward

This International Women’s Day, Rebecca Vallance stood alongside some of the women in the Qantas team in acknowledgement of her appointment as the designer selected to create the airlines next uniform.

For Rebecca, the moment carries particular meaning. The partnership brings together two iconic brands recognised around the world, each known for quality, global presence and enduring identity.

Standing beneath the iconic red tail of a Qantas aircraft, the moment also offered an opportunity to recognise the women who represent Australia across the world every day.

For decades, the Qantas uniform has symbolised professionalism, pride and national identity - brought to life by the women who wear it. From the flight deck to the ground, women across the airline guide aircraft across continents, support passengers through every journey and represent Australia on a global stage.

Q. What has been your highlight of working at Qantas?

Working on the new uniform has definitely been a highlight of my career. Working with my colleagues and having such an input into how the next new uniform is going to look has been amazing. And seeing how passionate Rebecca is about the project has also been a highlight. - Amy, International Cabin Crew

Q. What are three words that wearing your uniform represents?

Three words that describe my uniform would be resilience, responsibility and pride. No two flights are the same, so every day is a new challenge and it keeps me on my toes and it takes me places. - Daisy, Airbus A330 First Officer

A Moment Of Pride

Building a global fashion brand has been shaped by ambition, resilience and the support of those who believed in Rebecca’s vision. Throughout her career she has navigated moments of high expectation and uncertainty - experiences that have helped shape the perspective she carries today.

Those experiences have reinforced a belief that confidence develops over time through curiosity, persistence and the courage to keep moving forward.

This International Women’s Day, Rebecca Vallance, together with Qantas, proudly recognises the continued progress of women everywhere, and the strength they bring to every space they enter - celebrating women who move the world forward, women who carry confidence and presence into every role and women who continue shaping what comes next.

Happy International Women's Day
